The Certificate IV in Preparation for Health and Nursing Studies provides the academic knowledge for entry into the Diploma of Nursing.

Entry requirements

School Leaver	Non-School Leaver	AQF
C Grades in Year 11 WACE General English, and OLNA; or NAPLAN 9 Band 8	C Grades in Year 11 English and Maths or equivalent	Certificate II or Certificate III

If your plan is to continue study following this course, you should read the entry requirements for the HLT54115 Diploma of Nursing including literacy and numeracy testing to meet minimum standards as set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board.
Completion of the Certificate IV in Preparation for Nursing is not a guaranteed entry into the Diploma of Nursing with high demand making the applications for the course subject to competitive assessment, but it does greatly increase your chances with the introductory skills and knowledge that lead to a nursing career.
