Be guided from our team of expert lecturers who are industry professionals, as you learn to lead hospitality services. At the heart of hospitality is the people, and you'll gain management skills which will help you inspire your team, make decisions and solve problems, and build knowledge of how to enhance a customer experience.
You'll also be equipped with strong hospitality technical skills and be trained in a diverse range of areas from processing reservations, to food and beverage preparation, to general bar and restaurant service.
The hospitality, tourism and events industries are the world's largest employers and this course will give you a supervisory qualification to work in settings such as restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, pubs and in gaming, or at hotels in front-of-house areas including concierge and back-of-house areas such as housekeeping.
You'll be job ready for roles such as Functions Manager, Restaurant Manager, or Front Office Manager.
Study in specialised facilitiesLearn in the real-life setting of our award-winning Bentley Pines Training Restaurant which provides a live, interactive training environment at SM TAFE's Bentley campus. Students can gain hands-on experience serving and preparing food for members of the public, as well as showcasing their skills planning a menu and advertising special events to the community.
