All Diploma level studies include: cyber security awareness, working in teams, client management skills, and ethics and privacy.

Specialist facilities on-campus

Our state-of-the-art Training Cyber Security Operations Centre (TCSOC) provides a secure training environment designed to simulate realistic cyber-attacks relating to attack, defence and monitoring. The TCSOC provides a multi-campus centre based in Murdoch with 'nodes' at Thornlie and Rockingham campuses in order for all IT students to experience this leading edge training.

The Centre for IT Excellence (CITE) provides state of the art, industry relevant training in information technology and creative media. We provide pathways from foundation studies to advanced diploma with specialist training in cyber security, networking, programming and digital media.

Entry requirements

Completion of WACE General or ATAR (Minimum C Grades) or equivalent Completion of WACE General or ATAR or equivalent (minimum C Grades) Certificate III

Before commencing the diploma you should have these skills:

  • able to install and configure servers
  • deploy and configure desktop and cloud-based virtual machines; subnet; configure switches and routers
  • plan and install small business networks

If you do not have these skills then the Certificate IV in Information Technology should be completed first.

This course is not available to study by applicants outside of WA.
