About this course

The introduction to Furniture Making Skill Set is suitable for participants wishing to gain basic furniture and cabinet making skills. Participants will be taught the set up and safe use of a wide variety of furniture/cabinet making hand tools and power tools to construct a Spice Rack Cabinet, complete with two doors and an adjustable shelf. Participants will also learn how to prepare all surfaces of this project in readiness for applying a finish.

Students who successfully complete this course could continue their studies with a pre-apprenticeship and/or apprenticeship in the furniture and cabinet making field.
