The GMDSS COC is a statutory requirement for bridge watchkeepers of sea going vessels over 300 gross tonnes, and for all persons involved in the operation of live GMDSS equipment. This course is structured on a combination of theory and practical exercises using both 'live to air' equipment and simulations. It is delivered by fully qualified and accredited lecturers with deck officer or radio officer experience.

This course is approved by AMSA for the issuance of the following certificate upon successful completion of the course:

  • GMDSS Radio Operators - STCW Code Table A-IV/2
