This one-day course is an essential update for primary producers in all aspects of chemical use and is designed to maintain AusChem WA accreditation. It covers new information in environmental safety, personal and occupational health and safety, legislation, spraying and calibration techniques, residues and resistance to chemicals.

This course is suitable for:

  • farmers/food producers
  • people employed by a shire (not those contracting to a shire)
  • DEC employees spraying on DEC land
  • National Resource Management employees spraying on their land (not contract sprayers doing the job)
  • mine rehabilitation and weed eradication employees where they are spraying on mine land.

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following nationally accredited units AHCCHM307 Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds and diseases.
