This qualification reflects the role of community service workers who design and deliver person-centred services to individuals and/or groups. Workers may provide support, advocacy or interventions to individual clients, groups or communities across a range of services.
.At this level, workers may be autonomous with limited responsibility within established parameters and may be required to supervise and lead other workers in projects or teams. Work may take place in a range of community service, case work or case management contexts.
South Regional TAFE is transitioning this qualification to the new training package in 2024. Students will be enrolled into the new units developed to meet current and future industry needs. Fees may vary for courses transitioning to the new training package.

Please note there is a minimum age of 18 to be considered in this course.
Please be aware that COVID-19 vaccination is an employment requirement for many healthcare providers. SRTAFE students undertaking work placements or who are required to attend a healthcare or community setting as part of their studies are advised to check directly with the healthcare provider regarding their policy settings around vaccination and proof of vaccination requirements.
