This is a level 1 introduction to Revit 2022 Architecture, a powerful building modeler used extensively for architectural design, documentation and rendering in 2D and 3D.
This unit supports the work of drafters who assist and work under the supervision and instruction of architects, building designers and other personnel such as home sustainability assessors.
It covers installing BIM-capable design software and applying its functions and options to create, name and save project files and templates for different types of building design projects.
Skills and knowledge elements include:
Building model set up, levels and grids
Basic building tools (walls, windows and doors)
Create floors, ceilings, roofs and stairs
Add component features
Basic editing tools
Navigation tools
Creating views, sections and elevations
3D views, cameras, materials, sun study and rendering
Set up project templates
Participants gain hands-on experience using the various modelling and documentation commands within Revit and should complete the required tasks & assignments in order to achieve competency in this course.
On successful completion of this course, students will receive a statement of attainment for the following nationally accredited units.
