The Master of Arts (Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking) provides high-level analysis of the concepts of modern slavery and human trafficking and contextualises these issues in an international, national and local context. This program provides both research and professional practice study modes.

Specific Program Requirements for Admission
To be eligible for admission to the Master of Arts (Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking)applicants must also meet the following specific requirements:
Students must have as a minimum qualification, a recognised Bachelor degree (AQF level 7 qualification) or equivalent in any discipline area.
Applicants without a Bachelor level qualification may be eligible to enter the Program if they have at least two years' experience in a related field. This would be determined on a case-by-case basis.
Possession of a Graduate Certificate or Diploma (AQF level 8 qualification) of Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking or a cognate discipline.
This postgraduate program provides dynamic opportunities for engagement with organisations and individuals who are working to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. The flexibility in the program allows you to select the study mode - research or professional practice - that suits you best, and you can choose elective courses to focus on your particular areas of interest.
The research mode provides you with the research design and methodology you need to undertake high level research, culminating in a substantial research project, focusing on end-user research.
The professional practice mode provides you with specialist insights and expertise, designed to ensure ethical decision-making skills and encourage the development of future industry leaders. You will complete an applied professional project, co-designed with a partner organisation, and focus on applying professional skills to specific workplaces and anti-slavery and anti-trafficking groups.
Students in the Master of Arts (Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking) complete six required courses and then select the study mode that suits them best - either research or professional practice.
Students may be eligible for recognition of prior learning from their studies or via their work and life experience. Ask about this when you apply.
