Your student or child is one of a select few who may be able to undertake a university unit that supplements their HSC education, and provides advanced standing into a university course of their choice.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible students need to:
* have completed at least one Board of Studies accredited subject (that is acceptable for an ATAR) at HSC Stage 6 before the start of year 12; and
* have been recommended by their School Principal.
This program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to undertake advanced study and supervised research work in the specialisation defined by their undergraduate degree program within the context of a multidisciplinary cohort.
Entry Requirements
The University's Bachelor Honours Degree (AQF Level 8) Policy will apply.
The criteria for admission to this Honours program are:
successful completion of the Griffith Bachelor of Child and Family Studies or Griffith Bachelor of Child, Youth and Family Practice or an equivalent qualification from another university;
a GPA of at least 5.0 over the second and third year of the Bachelor degree.
The Program Director will take the following into consideration when assessing applications for admission:
the suitability of the proposed dissertation topic, the resources available to support the candidature and the availability of appropriate supervision;
the preparedness of the applicant to undertake the degree in terms of the elapsed time since the prospective candidate qualified for the award of a Bachelor degree and the academic preparation provided by the Bachelor degree for the candidate's proposed dissertation topic.
The Australian College of Nursing’s (ACN) National Immunisation Program for Healthcare Practitioners course is based on the National Immunisation Education Framework for Health Professionals (2017) and has been accredited by the ANMAC subsidiary Health Education Services Australia (HESA) to deliver this course. HESA is the National body for health education accreditation and ACN is the first institution to have its Immunisation course accredited.

Flexible, self-paced (a minimum of 21 days up to a maximum of 120 days)
TRACKS is a tertiary preparation program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who would like to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake undergraduate studies at UNE.
Entry Requirements
Admission to the TRACKS tertiary preparation program will be open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates:
(a) who are not admissible to a course and who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate course; or
(b) who state that completion of this enabling course will make them better qualified to undertake an undergraduate degree and who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate degree; or
(c) who have unsuccessfully attempted an undergraduate course previously and who state that completion of this enabling course will make them better qualified to undertake an undergraduate course.
You will learn in a personal atmosphere through hands-on experience and from experts with strong links to the health sector, government and community.

Advanced Diploma pathway
Applicants for the Advanced Diploma pathway apply directly to the University and must have:
an Advanced Diploma in Children's Services, an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Management or an Advanced Diploma in Community Sector Work and
at least two years industry experience in the early childhood or related sectors
Selection of applicants will be based on (1) academic merit and (2) industry experience in the early childhood or related sectors.
The Pathways Enabling Course is a program of study for students with limited or no educational background for admission to an undergraduate course at UNE.
Entry Requirements
1. Admission to the Pathways Enabling Course will be open to candidates who are not admissible to a course and who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate course; or
2. Candidates:
(a) who have not successfully completed a course leading to an award of the University; and
(b) who state that completion of this Enabling Course will make them better prepared to undertake an undergraduate course; and
(c) who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate course.
The Bachelor of Nursing component is offered at Nathan and the Graduate Certificate in Paediatric Nursing component is offered online. Nursing is the science of professional caring and offers opportunities to promote and restore health, prevent illness and alleviate suffering.

Advanced Standing Pathway is available for graduates of the Diploma of Nursing from an accredited Australian Education Provider with unconditional registration (without restrictions) as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2), General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) are eligible for the Diploma of Nursing pathway. Note that registration under the AHPRA Pandemic Response Sub Register is not accepted. Note: The Diploma of Nursing Pathway is not available in Trimester 1 2023.
