CIT entry requirements include:
ACT Year 12 or equivalent. If you do not have a Year 12 qualification (or equivalent) you will be asked to attend an informal interview to evaluate your ability to succeed in the program.

It is recommended that you have a minimum of Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or other finance related qualification or can demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge.

You must have a Senior Secondary Certificate or a demonstrated interest in the field (this may include workplace or other practical experience). If you do not have a Senior Secondary Certificate or equivalent and wish to continue to the Diploma, you will be required to demonstrate a literacy of at least ACSF Level 3 in writing and maths.
After you apply, CIT will email you with details about submitting a copy of your Senior Secondary Certificate or how to complete the literacy assessment, and details about submitting other evidence or attending an interview.

If you are entering the course as a Trainee, you must be employed in the industry and meet the Australian Apprenticeship eligibility requirements prior to enrolment.

You must:
- hold a CPC32413 Certificate III in Plumbing (or equivalent)
or
- hold a current Journeyperson or Plumbing Registration

It is recommended that students are 18 years or older to undertake this training

To be successful in this course you will need the skills and experience achieved in the Certificate III in Horticulture, or a related field. This could be gained through study or industry experience.
CIT may request a short discussion about your skills and experience in horticulture following your application to enrol.

As you are entering this program as an apprentice under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, you must be employed in the industry and you must register with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.

Prior to commencing your training at CIT, you will be required to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment to help identify areas where you may require additional assistance to achieve your qualification.

You must have a Year 10 Certificate or equivalent literacy and numeracy skills.

If you are entering this course as a Trainee or Apprentice under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, you must be employed in the industry and you must register with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.

You will be required to have a current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 Provide first aid). Information will be provided on enrolment.

On entry, you will need to demonstrate appropriate literacy and numeracy skills by undertaking a literacy and numeracy assessment. You may be required to undertake additional Foundation Skills subjects to support your learning and success in this course.

Applicants must:
- have a relevant higher education qualification
OR
- have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in related fields of study and have at least one year full-time equivalent workplace experience with exposure to networking and cyber security
OR
- have at least two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience with exposure to networking and cyber security.

It is recommended that entrants:
- are currently working in a public or private sector agency that undertakes networking and cyber security work
- have relevant industry certifications in networking and cyber security

You may be required have an interview to confirm that prior experience on IT networking and computing operating systems are proficient to ensure successful course completion.

Must be currently employed by an Australian Policing Agency or Military Police and be nominated/supported either financially or otherwise by the relevant jurisdictional forensic section within that State/Territory; AND Demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills to undertake vocational education and training at the diploma level.
