Chisholm Institute Courses

Applicants must be 18 years or over, Applicants must successfully complete BKSB assessment with an outcome of exit level 3 (working at 4) for literacy and exit level 2 (working at 3) for numeracy, It is recommended the applicant has a qualification from the CHC training package or a minimum of 2 years' experience working the community service sector given the delivery of this course is intensive, Please note: There is no placement requirement for this course.

Applicants must demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching/assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge/experience, and may include, but not limited to, holding relevant unit of competency or qualification, Basic proficiency skills with software (Microsoft Office or similar) are essential to complete activities in class, and assessments. Applicants should self-assess these computer skills prior to enrolling, Completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF 4 - Reading, and ACSF 2 - Numeracy is required, Prospective applicants will be required to undertake a pre-course interview during the enrolment process.

All applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of course commencement and complete the Basic Knowledge Skills Builder (BKSB) assessment and meet Exit level 3 (working at level 4) for both literacy and numeracy., Applicants must also attend an interview., Please note: All students need to obtain a clear volunteer Working with Children Check prior to undertaking work placement. Students who are unable to complete work placement, will be unable to successfully complete the requirements of the course.

Applicants are required to complete BSKB and must obtain exit level 3 in both literacy and numeracy (working at level 4)., Applicants must be a minimum of 16 years of age at time of course commencement. Applicants who are under 18 years of age must have a parental agreement., Immunisations need to be up to date prior to placement, Please note: Students will need a valid Working with Children Check (volunteer) and a clear national police check to undertake practical placement. Students will be unable to complete full course requirements without completing placement., Students must have satisfactorily completed a minimum of year 9 or equivalent, Students need to be able to complete manual tasks associated with therapy assistance and should have a proficient level of physical fitness to be able to complete the course, Students will be unable to successfully complete the course without completing placement.

Completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of numerical skills (ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3), writing skills (ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3), Students who are unable to undertake placement will be unable to successfully complete the course.

All applicants to complete BKSB and must obtain ACSF exit level 2 (working at level 3) in both literacy and numeracy, Applicants must be 18 years or over, it is expected that all students participate and engage in the practical application of fitness programming as well as receiving prescribed fitness programs from fellow students, the role of a gym instructor requires the physical capability to set-up and move heavy exercise equipment, this course requires a fundamental level of physical strength and fitness

Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of commencement of the course, Applicants must successfully complete BKSB assessment with an outcome of exit level 2 (working at 3) for literacy and exit level 1 (working at 2) for numeracy, Chisholm requires learners to complete one placement of 80 hours in stage 2 of the course, Learners are required to successfully meet the qualification requirements, which includes an industry placement. Industry placement requires learner to working with clients in a Mental Health or related organisation, Please note: Students will need a valid Working with Children Check (volunteer) and a clear national police check to undertake practical placement. Students will be unable to complete full course requirements without completing placement.

All applicants to complete BSKB and must obtain exit level 3 in both literacy and numeracy (working at level 4)., Applicants are required to have successfully completed Year 10 or equivalent, Completion of the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work, is required to carry out construction work or attend a construction site. CPCCWHS1001 meets this requirement, CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White card) is required for site visits and must be provided at the time of enrolment

Admission requirements are completion of BKSB assessment with an outcome of ACSF exit level 2 - working level 3, for both literacy and numeracy, Applicants must be 18 years or over, applicants must possess or be able to obtain a current Working with Children Check and a satisfactory National Police Check, entry to this qualification is open to individuals who hold the following units of competency or units that have been superseded by these units, HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (or a unit that supersedes this unit), HLTWHS001 Participate in workplace health and safety, SISFFIT032 Complete pre-exercise screening and service orientation, SISFFIT033 Complete client fitness assessments, SISFFIT035 Plan group exercise sessions, SISFFIT036 Instruct group exercise sessions, SISFFIT040 Develop and instruct gym-based exercise programs for individual clients, SISFFIT047 Use anatomy and physiology knowledge to support safe and effective exercise, SISFFIT052 Provide healthy eating information

Applicants must complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test

Be able to use a personal computer, including basic word processing, spreadsheet and electronic communication platforms and internet search engines, Have a demonstrated capacity in learning ,reading ,writing and oracy to Level 4 and numeracy to Level 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF), The nature and content of this course requires that applicants be 18 years or older at time of enrolment
