The Master of Advanced Nursing Practice has been designed to meet the core skill requirements for advanced nursing practice. The program develops nursing competence, skills and knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation, diagnosis and evaluation of care from a specialist capacity.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Advanced Nursing Practice, applicants must hold:

  • a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent degree from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing) and a GPA of 4 or above AND
  • current or temporary unrestricted registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    OR
  • a Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters qualification in nursing or a related area (students admitted with one of these qualifications may be eligible for credit depending upon the courses completed in the prior qualification) AND
  • current or temporary unrestricted registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Degrees from overseas institutions must be assessed as equivalent to a recognised Australian accredited qualification.

Additional admission requirements

  • Critical Care Nursing specialisation:
    • Applicants must be working with critical care presentations for a minimum of two days per week.
  • Emergency Nursing specialisation:
    • Applicants must be working with emergency presentations for a minimum of two days per week.

You will receive a rounded professional architectural education with strength in design-research. You can choose to focus on sustainable design, urban design, history/theory or design practice.
Entry Requirements

Graduates of an approved undergraduate pathway degree in architecture with a minimum GPA equivalent to a Griffith GPA of 5.0 across the second and third years of their undergraduate 3-year degree program will be eligible for admission to the Master of Architecture.

Graduates from the Griffith Bachelor of Architectural Design or Bachelor of Environmental Design (Architecture) who have a GPA of less than 5.0 but no less than 4.5 across the second and third years of study will be considered for entry to the Master of Architecture on the basis of demonstrated achievement in the core second and third year architecture discipline courses. Documented relevant experience may also be considered.

Graduates from the Griffith Bachelor of Architectural Design or Bachelor of Environmental Design (Architecture) with a GPA of less than 4.5 across the second and third years of study in core architecture courses, as well as graduates from other pathway programs in architecture, will be considered for entry on the basis of documented relevant experience (a portfolio and/or study diary covering a minimum six-months) and their academic record. The relevant experience must be explicit.

For international students, admission is subject to meeting the English Language requirements.

  • hold a Griffith Graduate Certificate in Policy Analysis (or equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 4.5 (using a 7.0 scale). Students with a Griffith Graduate Certificate in Policy Analysis will receive 40 credit points of advanced standing, OR

Entry Requirements

All applicants to the Graduate Certificate in Forensic Mental Health must have either:

  • a recognised undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution
  • OR fulfill the following alternative admission criteria:
    • In selected circumstances, applicants without a recognised undergraduate degree may apply for entry based on their work experience in a forensic mental health related field. In these circumstances, the applicant must supply evidence of relevant professional registration or vocational experience in a forensic mental health related field. Such applicants, who will normally have worked relevant positions for a minimum of five years, will be required to provide references from their employers supporting their application for admission and attesting to their ability to complete the program. In these cases, the Program Director will make the final decision and must be satisfied as to the applicant's ability to complete such a course of study.

The Graduate Certificate in Professional Nursing will enable registered nurses to develop advanced knowledge and specialist skills to address the core competencies related to nursing.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Professional Nursing, applicants must hold:

The School of Nursing and Midwifery has instituted a Recognition of Prior Experience (RPE) procedure for registered nurses who do not have an undergraduate qualification. Applicants will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate eligibility requirements. The School of Nursing and Midwifery will determine eligibility for admission into the requested program based on application, curriculum vitae and referee reports.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Diploma of Rotary Wing Flight Management, a student must:

  • have met the graduation requirements for one of the following programs:
    • Bachelor of Aviation (1517)
    • Bachelor of Aviation Management (1367)
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Aviation (1584);
  • have successfully completed the Bachelor of Aviation elective course Rotary Wing Operations (3535NSC);
  • attend and complete specified preparatory training under the professional development program referred to as Mentoring Aviators through Educational Support (MATES);
  • hold a current Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Class 1 Medical Certificate for a Commercial Pilot Licence (the medical must be carried out by a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) and a full list of the DAMEs is available on the CASA website;
  • have an Aviation Reference Number (ARN);
  • successfully complete the Griffith University Pilot Aptitude Assessment*;
  • successfully complete the Graduate Diploma of Rotary Wing Flight Management selection interview.

All students who apply for entry into the Graduate Diploma of Rotary Wing Flight Management are required to complete the Selection Supplement and submit it with their application.
