University of New England (UNE) Courses

A candidate shall:

(a) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree from a recognised university in a related field of study, for example, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography or Environmental Science;

(b) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate in Planning and Management of Natural Hazards from UNE.

1. Admission to the Pathways Enabling Course will be open to candidates who are not admissible to a course and who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate course;

2. Candidates:

(a) who have not successfully completed a course leading to an award of the University;

(b) who state that completion of this Enabling Course will make them better prepared to undertake an undergraduate course;

(c) who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate course.

Admission to the TRACKS tertiary preparation program will be open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates:

(a) who are not admissible to a course and who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate course;

(b) who state that completion of this enabling course will make them better qualified to undertake an undergraduate degree and who intend to seek admission to an undergraduate degree;

(c) who have unsuccessfully attempted an undergraduate course previously and who state that completion of this enabling course will make them better qualified to undertake an undergraduate course.

(b) hold an approved overseas qualification under the Articulation Programs; or

(c) hold an approved qualification* from an Australian TAFE or Registered Training Organisation; or

(d) hold an AQF Level 5 Diploma of Military Leadership DEF51512 or Diploma of Leadership DEF51115 or other recognised Australian Defence Force approved relevant Diploma, plus completion of the Australian Defence Force Army All-Corps Captain or Sergeant or Warrant Officer or Chief Petty Officer course, plus at least four years Australian Defence Force work experience; or

For International Students studying at UNE Sydney Campus:

(e) be an international student and be qualified for admission (see Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Rule and the Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Procedures) and be studying on a full-time fee-paying basis at the UNE Sydney campus.

Students who have completed 120 credit points of the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science may apply for admission to the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Admission is granted on the basis of meritorious study (a Credit grade point average (GPA) across the following 12 core units of study - EXSC210, EXSC220, EXSC230, EXSC239, EXSC260, EXSC310, EXSC335, EXSC340, EXSC360, EXSC370, HUMN240 and PSYC308).

Students entering the course through this pathway will be required to complete a further 72 credit points as listed in the program of study.

Assumed knowledge: any 2 units of mathematics, Personal Development Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) and/or any two units of Science.

Recommended studies: Biology and/or Chemistry.

A candidate shall:

(a) hold an AQF Level 5 Diploma or 6 Advanced Diploma from: a Vocational Education Training (VET) Community Services Training Package; or from a Vocational Education Training (VET) Health Training Package in one of the following areas: Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Care; Nursing.
