Western Sydney University Courses

There are many ways you can gain entry into a degree through Western Sydney University Online. We accept any one of the following, provided you meet the minimum requirements relating to that criteria:

• Cert IV, in any field
• Completion or partial completion of tertiary study
• Work experience, in any industry (assessed on a case by case basis)
• Completion of Year 12 HSC (or equivalent), with a minimum required ATAR
• Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT)

Western Sydney University's Inherent Requirements

Applicants must have successfully completed a recognised bachelor's degree with at least one area relevant to primary teaching in order to meet the curriculum requirements of the NSW Education Standards Authority. Applicants must also meet the English language and the Mathematics proficiency requirements (the latter can be through an HSC Band 4, or equivalent subject content from previous studies, or can be achieved through completion of a bridging course once enrolled). Under AITSL guidelines, applicants will also need to complete an online interview to assess capabilities, talents and personal attributes that are relevant to the teaching profession (non-academic selection).

Application is only open to students studying in New South Wales.
