To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

A fair amount of strength and physical fitness is required in order to participate in the construction work required.

All non-apprentices are identified and supported by Apprentice Central with a view for them to engage in an apprenticeship program as soon as possible.

Learners commencing the course as a non apprentice will be actively seeking an apprenticeship while studying in order to practice and consolidate skills on-the-job

The Certificate III in Parks and Gardens will give you the skills and knowledge to work in the management and maintenance of public and private parks, reserves and gardens, natural bushland and community recreation areas.
Entry Requirements

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and Statements of Attainment issued by another Registered Training Organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.

There are no prerequisites required for this course.
