Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, it is assumed that you have:
- Completed the Certificate IV in Information Technology or other relevant qualification, or units equivalent to the core of the Certificate IV; or - Demonstrated vocational experience in a range of work environments, specifically using IT networking technologies. This experience should be relevant, such as: - Creating OOP classes using inheritance. - Analysing system requirements and document using UML diagrams such as user case diagram and use cases. - Creating basic HTML documents and applying CSS. - Using a programming language (e.g., Java, C++ and PL/SQL) to create iterative constructs and conditional statements. - Working with the intermediate functions of the current version of Windows Server such as DHCP, DNS, NPS, VPN and IPsec. - Manipulating databases using SQL; applying basic programming skills to create applications; creating markup language documents (HTML) and cascading style sheets (CSS). - Applying design methodologies and present feasibility reports. - The ability to pass CCNA Routing and Switching - Introduction to Networks (TCP/IP model, OSI model, basic router configuration and IP addressing including VLSM)
