This course provides students with a sound knowledge base in the complementary fields of accounting and law. Students enrolled in the accounting degree can graduate with two qualifications including a Bachelor of Accounting and Diploma of Laws in a three year period when studying full-time.
Entry Requirements

Admission requirements are met by one of the following:

  • Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 60*.
  • Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate III level or higher.
  • Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma.
  • Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
  • Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 140.
  • Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program, the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses, or other recognised tertiary preparation course.
  • Submission of an acceptable personal competencies statement and/or employment experience.

To gain entry into SHB30416 Certificate III in Barbering as an Apprentice, candidates require:

  • To be an Apprentice who has entered a Training Contract with their employer and Australian Apprenticeship Support Network NT.

Students can undertake this course as non-apprentices at the Palmerston or Alice Springs campus; the full-time course program is designed for applicants over the age of 21.

The Training Salon is a simulated work environment, students must wear work clothing suited to the industry (see flyer for requirements).

Applicants who have undertaken equivalent units at another institution as part of an APAC-accredited degree must include information about these units (e.g., unit outlines) with their application in order for these to be assessed for equivalence.

Applicants who have completed an APAC-accredited psychology degree at least three or more years ago are eligible to apply. Please note that no credit will be granted for any units completed within the APAC-accredited psychology degree.
