To gain entry into UEE22020 Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) as a VET in Secondary School Student (VSS), candidates are required to:

• Submit an expression of interest via the secondary school they are enrolled in and undertake an LLN test.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, although a basic level of maths and English is required.

All students will need to complete a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment to show that they have an appropriate level of LLN skills to participate successfully in the course and to identify any support needs.

Applicants are to attend a formal interview with the course coordinator to determine suitability for the course and that they have a clear understanding of the course requirements.

Admission requirements are met by one of the following:

• Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 60*.
• Successful completion of a national qualification at Certificate III level or higher.
• Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma.
• Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
• Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 140.
• Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program, the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses, or other recognised tertiary preparation course.
• Submission of an acceptable personal competencies statement and/or employment experience.
• Defence members with service of 1 year or more at the following ranks (or higher) meet the academic entry requirement for this course:
  ~Air Force: Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman, Corporal, Leading Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman
  ~Army: Corporal, Lance Corporal, Private
  ~Navy: Able Seaman, Leading Seaman, Seaman
• Current School Leaver Pathways:
  ~Best of 3 Year 12 subject grades
  ~School recommendation program

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

• To be an Apprentice who has entered into a Training Contract with their employer and Australian Apprenticeship Support Network NT
• Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

To gain entry into CPC40920 Certificate VI in Plumbing and Services - Operations, candidates require:

• Completion of a relevant trade qualification Certificate III in Plumbing such as CPC32420 Certificate III in Plumbing.
• An appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy
• Confident computer literacy
• Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.

To gain entry into SHB30121 Certificate III in Beauty Services, it is preferred that the candidate has completed:

• Year 11 or equivalent education, completion of a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment and an interview.
• Successful completion of a pre-enrolment Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment and interview is essential for success in this program

No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Whilst there are no formal entry requirements for FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, the preferred pathway is:

• FNS30322 Certificate III in Accounts Administration or other relevant qualification/s.
• All applicants need to demonstrate the appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge to undertake a qualification at this level.

To gain entry into AUR32120 Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology candidates require:

• To be an Apprentice who has entered a Training Contract with their employer and Australian Apprenticeship Support Network NT.

Students will also need to wear work clothing suited to the automotive industry such as:

• Steel cap boots
• Safety glasses
• Protective clothing
• Welding helmet and clothing for welding units

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification however a pre-enrolment process to establish suitability to undertake the course and to determine support requirements will be conducted, which will include a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment.

Admission requirements are met by one of the following:

• Successful completion of the Northern Territory Certificate of Education and Training (or equivalent) and the awarding of an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) of at least 80*.
• Successful completion of a national qualification at Diploma level or higher.
• Successful completion of at least 0.5 year of full-time study (or equivalent) of a higher education degree/diploma with a GPA of 5.5 and above.
• Overseas secondary or tertiary qualifications considered equivalent to the above Australian qualifications.
• Attainment of a STAT Multiple Choice score of 195.
• Successful completion of the Tertiary Enabling Program. the Preparation for Tertiary Success courses or a recognised enabling course of at least 12 months duration, with a competitive GPA.
