The Master of Medical Ultrasound course provides the opportunity for qualified medical sonographers with a Graduate Diploma level qualification and two years clinical experience as a qualified sonographer to undertake professional development and theoretical learning.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must supply:

* A completed Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) equivalent Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography; and

* Letter/s of employment demonstrating a minimum of two years clinical experience as a Medical Sonographer

Letters of employment must be presented on a company letterhead and be signed and dated by a delegated authority. Please ensure that the letter contains your full name, position title, duties performed, hours per week, and length of service.

English Language Proficiency Requirements:

If you were not born in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa or United States of America you are required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements set by the University. Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion of:

* A secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or

* An Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) diploma level qualification, or

* Bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years full time with a minimum overall GPA 4.0

To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

Option one:
  • Currently hold general registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, and have held this registration for a minimum of 12 months;
    and
  • Can demonstrate current compliance with Registration Board Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.

Option two:

  • Have completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited Master of Professional Psychology or equivalent program, which satisfies the APAC criteria for Level 3 professional competencies in Psychology,
    and
  • Be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a provisional psychologist.
