Please note that enrolment for this course closes three business days prior to the course commencement date. Therefore, it is important that payment for the course is completed before this deadline. Failure to do so will result in you being unable to attend the course on your preferred start date.

This free infection control skill set is designed to help staff identify and manage the ongoing risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) infections.
Entry Requirements

Participants need to be currently employed or volunteering in client facing roles irrespective of citizenship or residency status to take part in this training program. They must not have already completed another COVID-19 Infection Control Skill Set.

Students will be required to undertake a literacy and numeracy assessment to ensure they are capable of completing the online portions of this training.

As assessment will take place in the workplace, students will need access to the following in order to be able to complete this training:

* An internet connected device capable of streaming in order to complete on line assessments
* Access to their workplace COVID safe plan
* A sink with soap and paper towelling
* Gloves and a face mask
* Workplace linen (table cloth, tea towel, work uniforms as may be relevant to the workplace)
* Disinfectant spray or disinfectant wipes or soap and water.

The Certificate IV in Engineering- Welding Pathway is a post-trade course developed for existing engineering tradespeople seeking post-trade, higher-level engineering skills to advance their career within the Engineering industry, specialising in welding.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

While there is no qualification entry requirement, it is assumed the learner is either already a tradesperson with access to structured on- and off-the-job training.

It is recommended that applicants have completed Year 11 or equivalent, due to the literacy and numeracy requirements of engineering studies.

It is recommended that learners wanting to enrol in this qualification contact the Engineering department to discuss the entry requirements.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

You must be registered in an engineering apprenticeship arrangement with an employer in the metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries.

Holmesglen recommends all applicants have a minimum of Year 10 English and Mathematics.

As a requirement for this program, the learner must be engaged in an Engineering Apprenticeship within the metal, engineering, manufacturing and associated industries or other industries where Engineering Tradespersons - Fabrication work.

Holmesglen recommends learners have a minimum of Year 10 level English and Mathematics; Year 11 is highly recommended. This course is not recommended if you find mathematics at this level challenging.
