Unrestricted Electrician's Licence

Commencing study

The Bachelor of Business Administration will equip you with a thorough understanding of specialised business functions, including business management, economics, finance, technology, marketing, business communications, statistics, law and people management.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

Prior to enrolment or commencement of this higher education program, you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment. This will assist with determining your suitability to the course, and identify any learning support needs.

Applicants with Recent Secondary Education (within the past two years)
This course uses the ATAR as part of its selection considerations.
Prerequisites:
Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL); Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL.

For Applicants with:
- Higher Education Study
- Vocational Education and Training (VET) Study
- Work and Life Experience.

The following selection requirements apply:
- Your entire academic record will be considered.
- You will be required to attend an interview and bring a current resume, detailing work history, as well as certified copies of relevant qualifications. Selection will be based on previous study and work experience.
- Applicants without a formal qualification with relevant work experience and appropriate English language skills will be considered if they can demonstrate that they have a reasonable prospect of completing the course.

Advanced Standing
An applicant may be admitted to the course with advanced standing of up to eight subjects (48 credit points) for successful completion of approved diplomas and a maximum of 12 subjects (72 credit points) for the successful completion of approved advanced diplomas.

Advanced standing will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

The Certificate III in Electrical Fitting is the prerequisite for eligibility of the Energy Safe Victoria Electrical Fitter's Licence and provides the background knowledge and skills required for successful work in the electrical manufacturing industry.
Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements to this qualification, but as a requirement for this program, Holmesglen requires all learners to be engaged in an Electrical Fitting Apprenticeship. You must be signed up as an Apprentice with your chosen employer and have selected Holmesglen as your selected training provider.

In addition, learners must be at least 16 years of age when enrolling in the program. This requirement meets the minimum age requirements for training and working in the Electrotechnology field in Victoria, determined by Energy Safe Victoria (ESV).

It is recommended that applicants have completed Year 11 or equivalent, due to the literacy and numeracy requirements of electrical studies. Holmesglen recommends all applicants have a minimum of Year 10 English and Mathematics.

This Grid Connect PV Systems - Design only course is training in battery storage design for electricians who hold CEC Install Grid Connect accreditation and seeking to gain CEC accreditation in Design Grid Connect.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

This course is for qualified Electricians* who have already completed Install Accreditation and require the Design training for Grid connect PV systems for battery storage, and wanting to Apply to CEC for Provisional Accreditation in Design of Grid-Connected PV Systems.

This online Certificate IV in Information Technology will give you the skills and training to begin a career in networking, cyber security, and help-desk support.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be 18 years old and have completed year 11 or be a mature aged student. Holmesglen also requires that all applicants possess the following abilities:

The Course in Working Safely in the Solar Industry is designed to ensure workers have the skills and knowledge required for the installation of Photovoltaic (PV) systems and solar water systems. We are no longer accepting applications for this course.
Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

Applicants wishing to enter this qualification will be electricians, plumbers, building practitioners, trades assistants and apprentices across these industries who install solar panel/water collectors.

Minimum language, literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to Level 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).

Licensed electricians (A Grade) must have:
