TAFE Gippsland Courses

Please keep in mind that the practical activities and assessments in this training require a degree of physical ability, especially the CPR component. You must be able to complete CPR to a manikin on the floor for at least 2 minutes. If you do not have any difficulty kneeling for this duration or when maneuvering a manikin, you should have no issues in this course.

• Students must obtain a clear National Police Check and Working With Children Check to be able to complete the workplace component of this course.
• Students will complete a pre-training review (PTR), including language, literacy, and numeracy assessment, phone interview, and a face-to-face interview.
• To attend placement or be in the workplace, students are required to meet the COVID-19 vaccination recommendations as determined by the State Government and/or individual school requirements. Further information can be found at here.

Learners must be employed as a registered Trainee.

Learners must be 18 years of age to enable them to work behind an operational bar in industry.

For each Learner enrolling in a vocational qualification, regardless of eligible or ineligible status under the Victorian Training Guarantee, Tafe Gippsland will conduct a Pre-Training Review of current competencies (including literacy and numeracy skills) prior to commencement in training.
