This training program covers the skills and knowledge required to safely perform dogging work.
Entry Requirements
To gain entry into VTP348 Licence to Perform Dogging candidates are required to be:
- 18 years old to obtain a NT Worksafe licence
- Students are encouraged to hold a current NT Worksafe Licence Elevated Work Platform ticket and/or a Working Safely at Heights Statement of Attainment.
- At the point of entry to this short course the AQF level is expected to be at level 3.
- Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.
To ensure you have the right skills and support to succeed in your course, a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LL&N) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.
Sometimes it is considered that the student's needs are better met by enrolling in other units of competency prior to enrolling in the Dogging course. Students may be encouraged to enrol in preparatory VET courses:
- RIIWHS204E Work safely at heights,
- RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces,
- TLILIC0005 Licence to operate a boom type elevated work platform.
