The Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at UNE is a multidisciplinary program that develops a comprehensive understanding of the scientific and applied aspects of sport, exercise and health.
Entry Requirements

Students who have completed 120 credit points of the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science may apply for admission to the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Admission is granted on the basis of meritorious study (a Credit grade point average (GPA) across the following 12 core units of study - EXSC210, EXSC220, EXSC230, EXSC239, EXSC260, EXSC310, EXSC335, EXSC340, EXSC360, EXSC370, HUMN240 and PSYC308).
Students entering the course through this pathway will be required to complete a further 72 credit points as listed in the program of study.

Assumed knowledge: any 2 units of mathematics, Personal Development Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) and/or any two units of Science.

Recommended studies: Biology and/or Chemistry.

The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary) is a unique teacher education course that offers two career options for graduates.
Entry Requirements

A candidate shall be qualified for admission (see

and

(a) have a minimum of three Band 5 and/or E3 HSC results including English;
or

(b) have completed at least a year (48 credit points) of discipline studies (non-Education units) in a higher education qualification;
or

(c) have completed a NESA-approved alternative entry pathway;
or

(d) (i) hold an AQF Level 5 Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent, approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA);
and

(d) (ii) after completion of the above Diploma,
have completed early childhood workplace experience comprising one year full-time (or equivalent) room leader experience
or two years full-time (or equivalent) experience as a family day care accredited provider or an early childhood teacher assistant/aide or an accredited before and after school carer. Applicants should provide a Statement of Service from the early childhood provider on centre/business letterhead signed by their supervisor specifying their work experience obtained after completion of the Diploma. ACECQA accredits all early childhood providers and has a list of accredited providers on their website; or

(e) hold a three-year AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree in Early Childhood recognised by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) with a conferral date of not more than 10 years prior to the proposed commencement in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary); or

(f) hold a four-year AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree in Primary Education, or AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree and an AQF Level 9 two year pre-service primary teaching qualification, recognised by the NSW Education Standard Authority (NESA) or interstate equivalent body, with a conferral date of not more than 10 years prior to the proposed commencement in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood and Primary); and

Candidates admitted under rules (a), (b), (c), (d) or (e) must also satisfy the School of their suitability for teaching through the satisfactory completion of the Personal Statement for Initial Teacher Education Course Entry.

A candidate shall comply with the University's English Language Requirements for Courses in Education Accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority.

This is a degree with flexibility which offers currently accredited in-service teachers the option of up-skilling to a new sector of teaching, for example, secondary to primary, or primary to secondary. It also allows currently accredited secondary teachers to up-skill to another teaching subject.
Entry Requirements

A candidate shall:

a) hold an AQF Level 7 four year pre-service teaching qualification of a recognised University or tertiary institution;
or

(b) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree and an AQF Level 7 or Level 8 or Level 9 one or two year pre-service teaching qualification of a recognised University;
or

(c) for the Music Specialisation/Major only, in addition to satisfying rule (a) or (b) above, candidates must have: (i) a performing standard equivalent to Grade 6 of the Australian Music Examinations Board demonstrated via audition or music performance qualifications

and (ii) a music theory standard equivalent to Grade 4 of the Australian Music Examinations Board demonstrated via music performance qualifications or the successful completion of a music theory test set by the Music Discipline Convenor;
or

(d) for the Fourth Year Upgrade Program only, hold a three-year pre-service teaching qualification of a recognised University or tertiary institution, and be conditionally accredited to teach by the NSW Education Standards Authority, or interstate equivalent.

(i) provide either a signed copy of Professional Experience Reports or a letter from the tertiary institution where the Bachelor was awarded specifying that the applicant completed at least 10 days Professional Experience with the Birth-2 age group; or

(ii) provide evidence (employer's letter on company letterhead) of at least 10 days experience with the Birth-2 age group acquired after the award of the Bachelor Degree.

Students not meeting criteria (b)(i) or (b)(ii) may be admitted but must complete the unit PREX310 Professional Experience Birth to 2 Years (10 days) in addition to the normal Program of Study.

The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) is open to those International Students only with an Australian Temporary Resident status that permits them to study online and to attempt Professional Experience Placements in ACECQA-approved Australian settings.
