Students must participate in an interview with the lecturer (face to face or phone) prior to enrolment. Must also complete a Learner Needs Questionnaire provided by the lecturer on enrolment
to gain information regarding the needs of the student. This could include the need for literacy and numeracy support, need for financial support or any other information that could impact on the students' ability to learn. Action can then be taken to address these needs to enable the students to succeed in the course.
Students must be able to stand for long periods of time during the day and be able to massage at least four clients per day to prepare the students for average industry client appointments for massage.
All student must have well developed communication skills to enable them to work with clients on a personalized level.
International students must have an IELTS score (academic) of 5.5 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent is required for the Diploma of Remedial Massage qualification.

If students do not have the above they may complete a CGEA Assessment for Certificate III Community Services to ensure they have the required levels for success.
Potential learners with convictions are asked to discuss these with a lecturer as they will impact on placement. Learners are encouraged to have any convictions they may have Spent if possible. Some convictions will mean placement will be unavailable. Without placement learners are unable to complete the course.
Learners will be interviewed during enrolment and a Client Needs Summary will be completed to identify any limitations to these requirements and actions planned to address these limitations.
