Applicants must be aged at least 18 at course commencement.

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training, students will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment (BKSB test) and a pre-training interview, attend a face to face interview and undertake some contextualised Allied Health-related questions.

These will assist with determining the prospective student suitability for the course and to identify any learning support needs.

Prior to undertaking clinical placement, students will need to provide evidence of:
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid. This will need to occur externally at the student's own cost (approximately $100)
- student health and immunisation status (costs will vary but is usually between $100 and $500)
- complete a National Police Records Check annually (between $25 - $50)
- hold a valid Working with Children Check for employees (approximately $130)

Timetable

Remote delivery - 3 x 3-hour classes per week

Students can choose 3 evenings from - Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays from 6pm to 9pm

Students can choose 3 daytime classes from - Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Friday 9 am to 4pm.

As a condition of enrolment learners must attend the learning skills centre if their LLN levels are not at the required exit levels of 3 for numeracy and literacy. In order to accommodate placement, students must provide a valid working with children's check (WWCC) and Police Check.

It is preferable that applicants have the following:
* BSB40920 Certificate IV in Project Management Practice; OR
* Vocational experience in project roles where students may have had some limited responsibility for the output of others but do not have a formal project management qualification

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be at least 18 years old. This course is recommended for learners seeking registration in the relevant categories of a domestic builder limited license. It is advisable for learners to have completed at least Year 11 and have a strong desire to work in the building and construction industry.

Prospective students should also understand that successful completion of this course may lead to employment opportunities that require outdoor work, work at heights, or underground work and may involve physical labour.

SISFFIT032 Complete pre-exercise screening and service orientation
SISFFIT033 Complete client fitness assessments
SISFFIT035 Plan group exercise sessions
SISFFIT036 Instruct group exercise sessions
SISFFIT040 Develop and instruct gym-based exercise programs for individual clients
SISFFIT047 Use anatomy and physiology knowledge to support safe and effective exercise
SISFFIT052 Provide healthy eating information

VCE (ATAR) or Year 11 with good skills in Mathematics

The language, literacy and numeracy levels required for this course are based on the ACSF:
Language: Level 3 working at Level 4
Numeracy: Level 3 working at Level 4
Students who, through the PTR/BKSB, have lower than the required LLN levels stated above, but are still considered able to undertake the program with support, are referred to the Learning Skills Centre.

As this is an apprenticeship delivery, all students must have an employer and a valid Apprenticeship Contract in place prior to commencement.

Although not compulsory, successful completion of Year 10 is recommended.

Students must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the course commencement.

All applicants must sit a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) test. This test will be administered via Holmesglen. You must achieve a minimum exit level three (3), working at level four (4) in numeracy & literacy.

Applicants may be required to attend an interview.

Diploma of Nursing English Language Requirements. The Diploma of Nursing has entry criteria set by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council. All students entering this course must demonstrate they have achieved the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) specified level of English language skills, prior to commencing the course. You need to be motivated to practise safely and professionally within the defined scope of practice of the enrolled nurse.

Clinical placement requirements
Prior to the first clinical placement, all students must:
hold a valid Working With Children Check
hold a valid National Police Record Check
Hold a valid NDIS worker screening check

COVID-19 Immunisations
Prior to the commencement of the course students must be fully vaccinated, including having had their booster shot (third vaccination) to attend clinical placements.

You may be admitted to the course with advanced standing for units of the qualification that have been completed at another registered training organisation. Advanced standing will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
