Entry Requirements

Learners must have VCE (ATAR) or equivalent; or mature age (at least 18 years of age and away from formal study for at least one year)

It is essential for students to have done work experience in any industry where they have completed business related documentation.

Applicants may have the FNS42015 Certificate IV in Banking Services, however this is not a pre-requisite.

Students are required to complete a literacy and numeracy test (BKSB) as part of their enrolment. The language, literacy and numeracy levels required for this course are based on the ACSF. They are:

* Language = 2 (working at level 3)
* Numeracy = 2 (working at level 3)

The Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) equips you for a job in aged care. Combining theory and practice, this aged care course will teach you how to provide physical, social and emotional support to older people.
Entry Requirements

All applicants are required to complete Holmesglen's bksb online LLN assessment tool as part of the pre-training review process. Learners should demonstrate LLN skills at ACSF Working Level 3 to enter the course, however those learners with ACSF Level 2 in English literacy may be admitted to the program with LLN support.

Effective Literacy skills are required to access course resource information and complete assessment tasks, such as; workbooks, website links (including Holmesglen's LMS - Brightspace), quizzes, case studies, example proformas, case notes and other Sector-related documentation.

General numeric literacy is required in the workplace for noting relevant information, such as weight, fluid volume, time, frequency and quantity.

Those applicants who achieve lower than the required Level 3 in either Basic English or Basic Maths may be selected to commence the course with additional LLN support. All learners identified as having a bksb result lower than level 3, are formally referred to the LSC (Learning Skills Centre) who then make contact with the learner to organise the support required.
