Entry Requirements

Holmesglen requires applicants who undertake this program to have the digital literacy to:

If you want to improve your English for employment and find out about the Australian workplace, this Australian Government Settlement Language Pathways to Employment and Training (SLPET) program may be the course for you.
Entry Requirements

There are no prerequisite units. Learners do not have to be employed already or have any particular employment skills.

Entry into the skill set for Australian Government SLPET program (Settlement Language Pathways to Employment and Training) will be determined according to a participant's
* current English language skills (an initial assessment is conducted)
* learning and pathway needs including employability skills, digital and other literacies and further educational and vocational training needs.

This Diploma of Community Services provides you with the knowledge and skills required to work as a professional community services worker, across a variety of settings within the social and community services industry.
Entry Requirements

Applicants must be aged at least 18 at course commencement and are required to
- commit to 200 hours of mandatory fieldwork placement during their course.
- commute up to 2 hours each way to their placement location.
Before you can start your practical placement, you will be required to:
- provide a clear National Criminal History (Police) Check
- provide a Working with Children Check
- You may be required to apply for an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, students must be at least 16 years of age.

Applicants must have been working in horticulture for at least two years, or have previously gained Certificate II in Horticulture. They are required to be mobile, with adequate fine motor skills in order to complete some of the assessments.

Learners will require a minimum of 2 years working within the horticulture industry or have previously gained a Certificate II in Horticulture or equivalent.

This Operating Theatre Technician skill set provides comprehensive training to prepare graduates to assist health professionals in an operating theatre.
Entry Requirements

Entry into this skill set requires the following:

- Applicants hold the HLT33115 - Certificate III in Health Services Assistance qualification or
- Applicants have completed or are concurrently enrolled in the HLT33115 - Certificate III in Health Services Assistance 12 unit Partial Qualification delivered at Holmesglen

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training students will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment (BKSB test) and a pre-training interview.

Prior to undertaking clinical placement, students will need to provide their health and immunisation status, complete a National Police Records Check annually and hold a valid Working with Children Check for employees. In order for this to occur, students must be at 18 years of age at the time of document preparation.
